Were seeking a Manager, Virtual Event Operations to join our Virtual Meetings Team in New York. The Manager, Virtual Event Operations will report directly to the Senior Manager, Virtual Event Operations.
What Youll Do:
- Oversight & management of broadcast control room operations to support Virtual & Hybrid events & meetings
- Maintain & distribute detailed, weekly team schedules
- Oversight of scheduling & capacity issues within control rooms
- Supervise & manage individual employees:
- Day-to-day Training, scheduling, coaching, & performance management
- Communicate job expectations
- Monitor & review contributions & areas for growth through one-on-ones & performance reviews
- Review/approve PTO & expenses (in accordance with company policy)
- Ensure teams are operating efficiently & effectively, delivering programs that meet Convene's quality standards:
- Requires observing/supervising on-site during any events
- Lead bi-weekly check-ins with each control room to monitor event statuses & flags
- Lead team trainings & building all-hands meetings as needed
- Implementing, maintaining, & enforcing organizational policies & SOPs
- Escalation:
- Resolve and/or escalate issues to Senior Manager Virtual AV Operations or AV Engineering (technical & logistical)
- Client recovery
- Operational guidance
- Delegating/assigning support when needed
- Raise relevant flags to leadership team
What We Look For:
- 7+ years professional broadcast and/or livestreaming experience.
- 1+ years people management
- Experience with virtual & hybrid event production
- Experience working in a control-room setting
- Extensive knowledge of video switching software such as vMix, OBS, Tricaster, Wirecast.
- Deep understanding of audio & video signal flow
- Strong leadership & management skills, ability to motivate the team to achieve company goals.
- Strong communication skills; both written & verbal, as well as strong presentation skills
- Strong project management & organizational skills; ability to multitask
- Strong personal computing skills including powerpoint, outlook & G suite
