Lyft is looking for an experienced & values driven leader to join as our Head of Employee Relations & Workforce Policies. In this role, you will drive Lyfts success by bringing your employee relations expertise to Lyfts leadership team & helping us maintain our culture as we grow. You will provide thought leadership in developing Lyfts workplace policies & practices, strengthen managers & team members through training & coaching, & roll up your sleeves to tackle investigations. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to make sound judgment calls & display the highest level of responsibility, confidentiality, integrity & professionalism. Responsibilities:

  • Develop & maintain Lyft's workplace policies & practices in close partnership with Lyft's Legal & People teams
  • Lead a team of high performing Employee Relations Managers
  • Conduct & lead complex investigations related to employee claims & advise leaders & HR Business Partner teams
  • Conduct HR investigations & own them end-to-end; ensure theyre handled consistently across the company
  • Provide counsel & coaching to managers & team members at an individual level, & by developing training offerings that can scale
  • Act as a true thought leader by understanding key internal & external trends in employee relations, & proactively driving continuous improvement across the company
  • Interprets policies & procedures, incorporating knowledge of state & federal employment laws. (i.e. ADA, FMLA, EEO) & practices & provides recommendations to resolve complex employee relations issues
  • Work with leaders & employees to establish & maintain a positive work environment, which encourages the full use of diverse talents & abilities; act as an employee advocate; help drive various corporate & division business initiatives

Experience:

  • 10+ years of HR experience; experience in employee relations, inclusion & diversity, or HR business partner roles preferred
  • 5+ years as a people manager effectively developing & leading high-performing teams
  • Bachelors degree
  • Strong working knowledge of state & federal employment laws including but not limited to, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, NLRB, Title VII
  • JD or advanced degree preferred
  • Experience building & improving workplace policies & practices
  • Proven ability to track, prioritize & drive multiple concurrent projects
  • Strong problem-solver, with ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Extremely attentive to detail, with superb oral & written communication skills
  • Highest level of integrity & management of confidential information
