Associate Director, Maintenance & Reliability Engineering/this role can be based in IL/TX/NJ & or work from home TN/AZ
Job Description: As the Associate Director MRE, you will oversee the maintenance & reliability of numerous buildings across your assigned business vertical. You will take a hands-on approach to leadership, effectively engaging, motivating, & coaching team members. Partnering with the M&RE senior leadership team, you will define, develop & deliver the maintenance roadmap & set the standard for operational efficiency within your business vertical.
You will Oversee MRE-related processes including maintenance of automation & manufacturing equipment, electrical, refrigeration, PIT equipment (forklifts), building, grounds, & overall upkeep of numerous buildings Motivate, engage, coach, & inspire a team of managers & technicians, creating a positive team dynamic that encourages all employees to provide feedback & drive change from within Provide project management & support as assigned for key strategic & building level projects Manage outside vendors & facilitate planned & unplanned repairs Ensure that maintenance regulations are followed Identify problems & brainstorm improvement strategies for the fulfillment centers Drive cross-departmental engagement & collaboration on new projects & retrofits

You have 8+ years managing maintenance/operations & reliability within the Food/Beverage/Perishables/Distribution industry or equivalent experience Bachelor's Degree preferred; high school diploma or GED required Effective leader & communicator for employees, direct reports, cross-functional teams, & executives High level of integrity & ethics with excellent follow-up & follow-through Interest in engaging directly with all levels of staff Well-versed in recent OSHA regulations & compliance Able to read & interpret blueprints, manuals, & schematics Exposure to refrigeration systems Knowledgeable in GMP/LEAN & strong continuous improvement & project management skills Comfortable working in cold environments with some areas of facility at 40F Excitement for working in a start-up environment with a high level of ambiguity & change Flexibility to work weekends, holidays and/or nights & travel approximately 50% of the time
