Tripadvisor seeks an innovative & passionate Analyst to join the Consumer Marketing team, supporting our marketing strategy initiatives & owned & operated channels, such as CRM, social, content, & house ads. As a business analyst on the team, you will be empowered & motivated by data & responsible for conducting analysis & unearthing growth opportunities across the Tripadvisor B2C business. 

Reporting into the Director of Consumer Marketing, this is a highly cross-functional role working across Product, Engineering, Analytics, & Data Science to support key marketing stakeholders. You will be responsible for knowing our data inside & out, leveraging it to make smart consumer-centric marketing decisions, & identifying opportunities for improvement. You will also be managing A/B tests from design to interpretation, & iterating on tests, learning, & optimizing at scale in order to drive incremental revenue, lead continuous experimentation, grow the business & achieve operational excellence.

What youll do:

  • By leveraging your analytical experience, you will be responsible for proactively identifying impactful business opportunities through in-depth analysis of our customers & their behaviors

  • Partner with Marketing strategy & owned channels on defining & delivering a comprehensive customer strategy, grounded in insights & data

  • Design, conduct, analyze, & report on A/B tests for different business functions

  • Own forecasting & reporting for large marketing campaigns of different verticals & channels

  • Lead data analysis, identify profit/growth opportunities, & uncover actionable insights

  • Live & breathe our data to make informed, consumer-centric recommendations & decisions 

  • Turn data into digestible & actionable learnings & present on one-off & recurring basis to mid-level & senior leadership

  • Work collaboratively with data scientists & engineers to improve tools & automate processes

  • Conduct user funnel/segment analysis to better understand the users, & provider insights for UX improvements

  • Optimize landing page experience by working cross-functionally with product & content teams

What we are looking for:

  • 5+ years of experience working in customer insights & marketing analyst for a large consumer driven ecommerce and/or DTC company. 

  • Subject matter expert in marketing channels, which emphasis on owned & how they work best with paid 

  • Ability to analyze large amounts of data & produce actionable insights & recommendations 

  • Experience & comfort in presenting data to in a narrative format to tell a story 

  • Experience with tableau & other data visualization / reporting tools 

  • Excellence in translating partner needs into valuable & efficient reporting

  • Experience in running & interpreting tests across channels & stages of consumer journey / purchase path 

  • Be a problem solver 

  • Be result-driven & motivated by identifying revenue opportunities at scale 

  • Be data-driven & analytical

  • Ability to prioritize multiple requests/projects & keep stakeholders informed of progress 

  • Prior knowledge of SQL

  • High level of in-depth proficiency in Microsoft Excel
