Twilio is seeking a Software Engineer (L3) to be a key contributor for our Customer Lifecycle Engineering team, where you will develop features with an eye towards testing  that impact all points in the customer lifecycle. You will use the latest distributed systems programming techniques & technologies, including microservices, kubernetes, AWS cloud infrastructure, microservices & APIs.  The person in this role will bring with them the ability to build & manage automated testing solutions, communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, & have a tremendous drive to hone their craft. 

This individual will help extend the reach of how & where Twilio products are sold, by creating & modernizing our integrations in marketplaces such as AWS, Azure, & Google Cloud, as well as enabling our international partner channels.


Twilio is looking for a software engineer who lives the Twilio Magic & brings with them a passion for software development that empowers developers & businesses around the world. 

  • 5+ years of software development experience in an object oriented programming language: Golang (our core language), C++, Java, Python, Ruby 
  • Demonstrated success in building & maintaining reliable, robust, & performant software through the entire software lifecycle.
  • Experience working with Docker & Kubernetes or similar.  
  • Experience with MySQL, Redis & Kafka, DynamoDB a plus


As an L3 SWE, you will live the Twilio Magic by

    • Collaborating to support strong team results 
    • Build effective working relationships 
    • Developing & Improve CI/CD build & deploy processes 
    • Develop & maintain high quality applications using Golang 
    • Maintain high coding standards, using best practices
    • Participate in scrum & agile practices
    • Time & Priority management to support sprint commitments
    • Supporting team & systems through on-call rotations
    • Design & Develop solutions that are cost effective
    • Document architecture & participate in architecture reviews
    • Support epic & story refinement 


The Customer Lifecycle team is central to Twilio's continued growth. We work closely with stakeholders & product teams to design & implement the infrastructure for all customer activities on our system. This includes everything from sign-up/sign-in to billing & account management.
