We are seeking a highly motivated, energetic individual for the role of Senior Manager, Tax Accounting - reporting to the Director of Tax Reporting & Compliance. The individual will be responsible for the preparation of corporate tax provisions, consolidating subsidiary tax provisions, implementing a SOX controls framework, for a young, dynamic, & growing multinational group of companies. This exciting role requires the ability to work with companies of varying sizes, interpret large amounts of data, & manage inputs from around the globe. The role also requires knowledge of ASC 740, federal, state, UK & Swiss taxation, & strong organizational & communication skills.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee preparation of headquarter tax provision
  • Review stand-alone tax provisions prepared by independent corporate groups, including validation of underlying data
  • Convert stand-alone provisions to controlled group provisions, & consolidate corporate group tax provision on a quarterly basis
  • Hold quarterly education call with stand-alone companies to educate on changes in the tax environment each quarter
  • Manage external providers to ensure quality deliverables & consistent methodologies are being used
  • Participate in the tax aspects of financial statement reporting, design & evaluation of internal controls, & reviews by auditors & the SEC
  • Prepare and/or review tax accounting memos on key technical areas
  • Coordinating, facilitating & resolving taxing authority inquiries & audits
  • Assist with tax compliance & tax planning opportunities as requested

Requirements:

  • 9+ years of combined tax experience in Big 4 and/or a US multinational company
  • Bachelors (or higher) degree in Tax, Accounting, or related field
  • Experience with financial reporting of income taxes (ASC 740 & related guidance), tax aspects of SOX compliance, & development of tax processes
  • Tax generalist experience that includes a mix of US Federal, US state, & international tax, transfer pricing, R&D credits, etc.
  • Strong computer skills in tax compliance/provision software, excel, & proven record for using technology to simplify repeating tasks
  • Experience in leading cross functional projects
  • Experience in process automation
  • Experience with cross functional projects & managing multiple workstreams effectively
  • Excellent work ethic & willingness to learn & expand responsibilities
  • A strategic thinker with excellent business judgment
  • Highly motivated & willing to take on multiple responsibilities at once
