Job Description

This role in the Visa Direct organization supports the creation of new mobile & digital payment solutions & in-market implementation in India. Responsibilities include developing & commercializing of new digital products & solutions. These new solutions have to be deployed keeping in mind the evolving market, client & consumer needs with the objective of driving significant future market growth for Visa in India. The role holder must possess a good blend of implementation skills as well have an intimate understanding of payments, mobile technology & consumer behavior. The role will work cross functionally with regional & global teams in delivering on the objectives.

The role requires developing the knowledge base on these relatively new solutions & developing industry best practices that can leveraged by local teams in many markets globally. Rollout of solutions typically has extremely tight deadlines & executive accountability associated with it. This requires that details, timelines, & project inter-dependencies are managed closely. Role holder will lead product interrelated project tasks & associated deadlines to ensure that they are met. These solutions require rapid implementation while retaining flexibility for modification based on market insights & learning.

The role will be responsible for tracking transaction & revenue targets for Visa Direct in this market. This will require proactive management of partners & client integration roadmaps, which in turn, would need balancing both technical & commercial objectives - while commercializing these new solutions.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 8 years of work experience with at least 5 years in product management within financial services
  • Business degree & Technical education & background is advantageous
  • Experience in go-to-market & product management; skills in program management are desired
  • Understanding of Payments, Banking & Financial services, its platforms & commercial models.
  • Direct experience working on new technology payment solutions - such as digital wallets, P2P,mobile banking ecosystems; familiarity with QR, NFC & UPI payments
  • Knowledge of payment & mobile technology & its impact on emerging business models.
  • Strong knowledge of push-payment eco-systems in the Asia Pacific region
  • Ability to work in unstructured & informal settings with sophisticated clients and/or partners.
