Associate Director, Financial Planning & Analysis (Jet.com, Hoboken, NJ)
Lead sales planning for annual operating & long-range plan, maintain a real-time forecasts to project latest outlook for current month & quarter. Design & build financial models to support & drive strategic business priorities, working very closely with the executive leadership team. Build, maintain, & modify customer acquisition based revenue model & track actual performance relative to plan on an ongoing basis. Provide marketing team with timely insights into the impact of certain marketing programs & health of new & existing customer cohorts. Partner with marketing analytics team to provide weekly/daily forecasts to cross functional stakeholders to ensure the business remains prepared for upticks & downticks to effectively manage customer experience & variable labor costs. Assist the marketing team in analyzing & evaluating financial performance of marketing campaigns & programs. Evaluate the ROI as it relates to the cost & customer lifetime value of acquisition or retention programs. Evaluate lifetime value (LTV) of different customer cohorts based on acquisition entry point as well as customer life cycle. Help evaluate profitability & assist the marketing team in setting targets for customer basket & lifetime profitability. Facilitate budget planning process for the marketing teams, including planning for headcount & other overhead spend. Manage & serve as point for understanding the flow of marketing based financial data through systems (e.g. tracking & reporting & accounting treatment of customer promotion programs via business intelligence systems); work with business intelligence & software engineers on implementation & QA of new reporting requirements. Provide analytic support to help the department track & manage its performance through key performance indicators. Provide additional ad-hoc analysis & support as needed.
Minimum Requirements: Masters degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related analytical field & 3 years of Market Analytics experience; OR Bachelors degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related analytical field & 6 years of Market Analytics experience. Experience with Business Intelligence platforms. Experience with GAAP/General Accounting. Experience with strategic planning, strategic advisory, business analytics, corporate reporting, & financial planning. Marketing Analytics experience including Customer Life Time Value, ROI, & Promotional Analysis. Experience with designing & building complex financial models. Experience with extracting & processing large data sets & creating meaningful insights. Experience with SQL. Experience with advanced Microsoft Excel techniques.
