The Role:

AlphaSights is looking for an ambitious & thoughtful individual to join the Professional Development team (aka Learning & Development team) in the London office. Professional Development at AlphaSights provides opportunities for our employees to continuously grow their skills and, ultimately, to achieve their personal & professional goals. We are committed to supporting the learning & development of AlphaSights' most valuable resource: its people. You will work with the Manager of Professional Development to create, develop, & drive forward the digital talent management strategy for the firm, consisting of scaling digital learning, gamifying development, & making data-driven decisions. A successful candidate will be excited about doing whatever it takes to support & enable coworkers to unlock their full potential. You will be involved in everything from onboarding to senior leader development.

The mission of the Professional Development Team:

Core Responsibilities:

  • Leverage technology to drive a digitally enabled learning culture
  • Become an internal expert & role model on digital learning design & delivery for the global firm
  • Champion our Learning Management System (LMS) platform & help the team & wider functions innovate the way AlphaSights deploys learning throughout the organization (e.g., through online, classroom-based, or blended learning)
  • Develop AlphaSights approach to scaling digital learning:
    • Set transformative organizational goals for milestones & digital learning uptake; attempt to transform the organizations approach to learning as much as possible within the next 1-2 years
    • Collaborate with the professional development leadership team & gather stakeholder input to build the roadmap for digital learning priorities
    • Scale our centralized global training curriculum through digital learning 
  • Incorporate gamification into the learning & development experience, from training programs to career development
  • Learner engagement
    • Conduct quality assurance reviews of content to ensure the learner experience stays positive & we do not experience organizational burnout; study why other organizations have failed & succeeded in digital learning adoption
    • Link digital learning to on-the-job experiences & transferable skills
    • Emphasize just in time learning for common challenges our workforce faces
    • Design & develop engaging, informative, & visually compelling digital learning content to bring learning opportunities for employees to ensure they are developing & can access professional development resources to grow their careers
    • Utilize instructional design & adult learning theory in the conception, design, & development of training materials
  • Measure outcomes
    • Use analytics to drive learning outcomes & initiatives, following a systematized approach to training evaluation (e.g., Kirkpatrick Model)
    • Constantly improve & innovate learning outcomes & behavioral change by soliciting feedback from participants, measuring impact, researching industry best practices, & endeavoring to make trainings as interactive & engaging as possible
  • Getting AlphaSights talent message out to the workforce via digital learning
    • Disseminate key organizational & leadership messages through LMS
    • Push company leadership (managers & VPs) to memorize key concepts through digital learning & testing

What We Look For:

  • Experience of at least 1 year in Learning & Development, ideally with an e-learning focus
  • Attained university degree (or equivalent)
  • Fluency in English required. [Other languages preferred]
