Who You Are:

  • Seasoned Manager (Sales Operations, Deal Desk, Pricing) with experience in a Software as a Service (SaaS) growth company.
  • Self-motivated individual with sound business/risk judgment. Analytical mindset & attention to detail are imperative. Ability to create structure in ambiguous situations.
  • Detail-orientated & has an analytical approach to proactively solving problems
  • Strong collaborator with multiple functions with well-versed interpersonal skills in both verbal & written communication
  • Previous experience driving & managing projects independently
  • Experience in a Deal Desk/Order Management/Revenue Operations role
  • Experience CRM & CPQ tools (Salesforce.com & Zuora preferred)

What you will do:

  • Develop winning pricing & deal strategies based on in-depth knowledge of pricing models & gross margin drivers. Serve as the goto owner & subject matter expert on standard & non-standard deal constructs, pricing, operations, & revenue policies.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Sales Ops, Product, & Legal to ensure deals are correctly constructed to meet the needs of customers & internal stakeholders.
  • Analyze historical data to track deal performance, identifying levers to drive margins, pricing velocity, & areas for improvement.
  • Enforce best practices for the quoting process, pricing guidelines, & Deal Desk process
  • Help identify & recommend ways to improve the Deal Desk process with the goal of improving decision quality, reducing cycle time, improving Deal Desk capability, & improving the sales team efficiency
  • Act as a trusted advisor on deal review calls with go-to-market teams, deal structuring, & support other internal stakeholders throughout the sales cycle to expedite deal execution
  • Collaborate with Sales Operations & FP&A team to improve the pricing governance, deal structure, & deal operation process

Experience And Skills:

  • 3-7 Years of Deal Desk experience in leading a deal governance discussion performing financial analysis of costs & prices, excellent modeling skills using Excel, & an understanding of negotiation strategy
  • Experience at a fast-paced start-up preferred
  • 5+ Years of relevant experience in Pricing, Deal Desk, Sales Operations, and/or Analytics at a Saas growth company.

Compensation (only applicable for Colorado applicants):

The base pay range targeted for this position in Colorado is: $81,000 - $159,000. This role is eligible for bonus, commission & equity.

The actual offer, including the compensation package, is determined based on multiple factors, including experience, location, & other business considerations.

Planet is registered as an employer in many, but not all, states. If you are not able to work from a state where Planet is registered, you will not be eligible for employment.
