What is the key purpose of a Director, HR - Americas? 

As a member of the global HR Leadership team & reporting to the SVP People Operations, you will be responsible for developing & implementing our people strategy that aligns with Taboola's people goal & support our business priorities & needs in the U.S. & Latin America. You will play a key leadership role in our Americas regions & partner with the regional leadership team to deliver a spectrum of strategic & tactical HR support & programs to employees & managers that are fully aligned with Taboola's strategic, financial & people goals. This spectrum of support includes performance management, employee development, organization assessment, & ensuring policy & procedure compliance. As a senior HR leader, you will play a key role in creating a diverse, inclusive & ambitious environment where all Taboolars can discover & unleash their potential to achieve individual & collective success.

What skills & qualifications do I need?

For this role it is essential that you have:

  • 10+ years of extensive experience as an HR leader, driving significant initiatives to support business success
  • Ability & desire to lead, mentor, & develop a high performing team of various levels; including HR coordinators, associates, & business partners 
  • Comprehensive understanding of the support required for a wide range of teams, from highly technical data scientists to revenue-generating sales teams 
  • The ability to quickly develop an in-depth understanding of Taboolas product, value proposition, & the competitive AdTech landscape
  • Strong understanding of HR strategy & business objectives, & the ability to translate data into insights & business results 
  • Empathy coupled with practical problem solving & business savviness
  • Advisory skills proven through 1:1 coaching with business leaders, managers, & employees
  • Significant experience facilitating group development through team building, off-sites, & HR related trainings 

What will I be doing on a day-to-day basis?

  • Lead & mentor a group of 5+ professional & highly capable HR team members tasked with providing professional, consultative support to VPs across the Taboolas global offices 
  • Cultivate a learning, listening team environment where members can develop & experience meaningful growth 
  • Partner directly with senior executives & act as their business partner - support unique needs & provide a holistic view of people related challenges & initiatives
  • Contribute & participate to Taboolas global HR leadership team, help shape & guide global HR initiatives across various fields of expertise 
  • Establish credibility throughout the organization through effective problem solving of any & all people-related issues
  • Assist in the defining & enabling of the companys talent assessment & management techniques, focusing on identifying & developing top performers across various business groups 
  • Drive hiring ROI by improving onboarding experience of new employees, improve retention of existing employees through continued learning & development initiatives 
  • Support a culture of performance management both in the HR organization & across Taboola, encouraging the recognition of success & management of low performers
  • Work closely with the other functional leaders of the HR leadership group to plan & execute talent acquisition plan, organizational development programs & analytics insights
  • Use metrics to track & communicate regional HR performance to business & HR leaders, refining metrics on an ongoing basis, based on value & applicability
