THE ROLE

The Senior Manager, Social & Editorial, will lead Pelotons social media campaigns across all earned social media, including Facebook (brand page, instructor pages, showroom pages), Instagram, Spotify, YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitter, as well as lead content strategy & editorial production for The Output, Pelotons editorial site. The role requires a creative leader that has run a world-class social media team & who can build & deliver a winning social & editorial strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as a senior strategist & gatekeeper of the Peloton brand on social media, driving the approach & allocating team resources to optimize across all social channels
  • Work with across the marketing & creative teams to develop compelling assets (photo, graphic, video, etc.) for key campaigns across each social platform
  • Ensure that our voice is present in other relevant social platforms/channels not owned by Peloton
  • Work with our instructors to bring their own brands to life in social media
  • Collaborate with fellow leaders across Sales & Marketing to ensure clear & consistent messaging for new products, promotions, channels, features, etc.
  • Anticipate & initiate reporting & analysis & deliver results & feedback to cross-functional partners
  • Develop & own processes & reporting to the broader organization to ensure that the voice of the Member on social is shared with & acted upon by key partner functions including Product, Software, Quality, Logistics, & Content
  • Provide mentorship & leadership to social media team members & hire & manage interns.
  • Act as a key owner of the business KPIs, proactively crafting strategies & executing initiatives sought at driving growth & performance.
  • Support social media director in developing social media strategy plans & team goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience developing & executing compelling social strategies at a distinctive global consumer brand
  • Passion for social media, including keeping up on new trends & industry standards
  • Consistent track record to build, run, & develop a team with multifaceted strengths
  • Analytic expertise & experience making dispassionate, empirical decisions
  • Robust project management skills, including the ability to multi-task effectively
  • Demonstrated success in developing cross-functional relationships to drive tangible results
  • Self-awareness to feedback from all levels of the organization
  • Outstanding integrity & ethical standards
