The Role:

As Learning Experience Designer, Product & Engineering (P&E) on the L&D team, you will have the opportunity to evaluate, iterate, & design strong onboarding content. You will partner closely with technical leaders & people leaders as well as team members across P&E to determine the training needs & identify key themes within an important part of HubSpots business. Over time, you will expand your focus to learning opportunities across the P&E employee lifecycle, but your first task will be to create a remarkable onboarding curriculum.

Were in a state of massive growth at HubSpot, & we want to make sure that our new P&E hires are successful in their first 90 days with a new company. This role will manage the needs analysis, design, development, & most importantly measurement of existing & new initiatives. A huge part of this role will also be working in close collaboration with the Product Employee Experience team (PEX), who will continue to maintain the general operations & logistics of the new hire onboarding experience.

In this role youll get to:

  • Amplify the impact of the existing onboarding program for new P&E team members
  • Create engaging learning activities & compelling course content that enhances retention & knowledge transfer
  • Collaborate with members of P&E who are subject matter experts to create content & consult on best approach: training decks, e-learning courses, discussion-based, workshops
  • Tell the story of successful P&E onboarding through collection of data from conversations & surveys, as well as performance metrics
  • Determine metrics & targets to show success of the program & track against them, as well as make changes to the curriculum to keep up with the needs of the business & feedback.

We are looking for people who:

  • Love solving challenging problems this is a new role on the L&D team & youll get to help shape it
  • Are comfortable with ambiguity & are excited by the chance to experiment & measure results
  • Are passionate about software & the tech industry & working with developers
  • Have experience in instructional design & with instructional technology, including course development software & at least one Learning Management System
  • Have worked in an agile environment & have strong project management capabilitiesyou are able to juggle multiple deadlines, quick turn-arounds & produce remarkable results in a fast-paced environment
  • Match vision with executionyou have experience thinking big but execute with strong attention to detail
