We are looking for a Financial Reporting Manager to join our Accounting Department. The individual will be part of the Controllership team & will report to one of our Senior Accounting Managers. This position will be responsible for the preparation & filing of all external financial reporting documents. In addition, the Financial Reporting Manager will assist with the consolidation of the various entities as well as in researching & documenting technical accounting matters, & in monitoring & implementing new accounting standards. The ideal candidate is someone who loves challenging opportunities & thrives in a dynamic environment with strict deadlines on a consistent basis.

At Compass you will:
Preparation of the consolidated financial statements & related footnotes for inclusion in quarterly & annual regulatory filings,
ensuring compliance with all reporting & disclosure requirements under US GAAP.
Review & tie out of all financial information included in investor materials, debt covenant calculations, financial statements,
and any other ad-hoc analysis for executive management.
Work with various personnel & departments to collect information & input into the above referenced reports; coordinate,
review & collect comments on the various drafts; prepare the supporting files; challenge the appropriateness of the disclosures;
and complete all relevant disclosure checklists & reporting questionnaires.
Maintain quarterly reporting timetable & monitor progress against reporting cycle milestones.
Assist with the monthly consolidation process, including working with various accounting teams across the Company on foreign
currency translation, consolidation & elimination entries.
Monitor the development & applicability of emerging accounting & reporting rules being deliberated by the SEC, the FASB,
and the PCAOB, among others. As well as assess the related financial & reporting impact of those rules that are relevant to the
Company.
Assist with technical accounting research & documentation of new policies & procedures.
Coordinate with external auditors regarding the financial audit as well as controls testing.
Other duties & ad-hoc projects as assigned.

Education/Experience:
Bachelors Degree required, preferably in Accounting
CPA required
5 to 10 years of progressive accounting experience
3+ years of SEC reporting experience

What we are looking for:
Combination of private industry & public accounting experience
Experience in consolidating multiple entities
Advanced technical accounting knowledge coupled with exceptional planning & organization skills
Prior experience designing, implementing, & documenting policies & procedures in a SOX environment
Experience with XBRL tagging
Basic knowledge of residential real estate, preferred
Strong attention to details & project management skills
Ability to multi-task & handle several deadlines simultaneously
Experience with NetSuite, a plus
