Maven is looking for an Information Technology Support Specialist to join our growing operations & technical team. You will work closely with our head of information technology & our internal operations teams in our New York City office. You will assist with the day-to-day maintenance & operations of IT infrastructure. You will be the first point of contact for our internal staff for all IT needs.

As a Junior IT Support Specialist at Maven, your core responsibilities include:

  • Spend approximately:
    • One third of your time maintaining existing IT infrastructure & supporting Mavens employees
    • One third of your time onboarding & offboarding new & former employees & contractors as Maven continues to grow
    • One third of your time working with the internal IT team on new initiatives & projects
  • Support products such as Google G Suite, Jamf, Sophos, & our managed fleet of macOS devices
  • Provide first-level technical support to our internal team members
  • Maintain internal technical equipment, such as video conferencing, printers, & network access
  • Test & roll out new pieces of technology, like operating system upgrades, software updates, security & configuration changes

Were looking for someone to bring core capabilities to our team:

  • 1+ years of experience in an IT support/helpdesk role
  • Experience using Google G Suite products (Gmail, Google Docs, Sheets, etc)
  • Some experience with Google G Suite administration
  • Experience working with & managing macOS environment
  • Knowledge of security products & concepts (anti-malware, anti-spam, etc.)
  • Strong troubleshooting & problem solving skills
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills

Helpful experiences & backgrounds:

  • Technical education or degree a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products
  • Experience supporting IT/AV for conference rooms
  • Experience with mobile device management products such as Jamf
  • Exposure to networking concepts
  • Exposure to computer imaging & builds
