Tripadvisor is looking for a smart, enthusiastic, & motivated Senior Inventory Analyst to join the Tripadvisor family, helping to manage & develop our yield & monetization strategy.  The Senior Inventory Analyst will play an integral role managing inventory quality & revenue potential while bridging communication & strategy between essential internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze global performance & inventory data across sales channels

  • Develop actionable yield strategies to help maximize Tripadvisors revenue opportunity across sales channels

  • Collaborate with Product & Engineering teams to incorporate yield POV into our ad tech stack, improving our ability to extract & manage ad-related datasets

  • In concert with Analytics team, design, manage & own yield intelligence dashboards which support the dissemination of clear, concise insights across audiences & business units

  • Gather & present key yield insights in a clear, comprehensible manner, keeping in mind the end audience (Sales, Exec team, etc.)

  • Monitor inventory forecasts & sell-through rates in order to maximize yield & offer suggestions for inventory packaging, providing visibility & action plan (e.g. Ad server priority) to mitigate revenue risks & under-delivery

  • Partner with Sales Planning Leadership to develop strategic product & inventory packages across complex targeting requests, ensuring both the success & delivery against client goals

  • Assist Ad Operations & Ad Technology teams in building a high-quality inventory strategy around viewability, fraud, & brand safety

  • Continuously audit current page level ad data, developing a practical targeting strategy at a macro & business unit level

  • Create & deploy best practices across monetization of Tripadvisors self-serve buying platforms

  • Act as the main point of communication for sales & other cross-functional teams surrounding inventory challenges & guidance

  • Inform A/B or multivariate testing metrics & benchmarks based on key areas of business impact (ad revenue, ad performance)

  • Support holistic on & off-site monetization analysis tied to program margin & rate tolerance by media type

Requirements

  • 5+ years minimum professional experience in digital media, preferably at a digital publisher

  • Advanced knowledge of digital supply & demand practices; guaranteed vs. non-guaranteed, programmatic buying, header bidder partnerships, etc.

  • Understanding of digital concepts & fully up-to-date on emerging ad formats

  • Experience presenting data & insights to various levels of an organization, from senior management to individual contributor

  • Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams across all levels including senior management

  • Intermediate-to-advanced Powerpoint & Excel skills (SQL knowledge a plus)

  • Working knowledge of key digital sales & technology platforms (Salesforce, various Order Management Systems, GAM, Moat, DoubleVerify, IAS etc.)

  • Applied knowledge of Tableau or other data-visualization tools a plus
