The SPM Director for Marketing Sourcing is accountable for developing & implementing SPM strategies aligned with the Global SPM strategy for the Marketing Sourcing Category. This role is part of the Supplier Performance Management Team & will manage strategic & daily activities related to the ongoing performance management of these key suppliers & partner closely with category teams to develop supplier relationship strategies aligned with category goals & objectives. This role partners with cross-functional stakeholders, Category Leads for Media, Creative, Digital, Production, Market Research & Sponsorships, Supplier Risk Management & others to track contract deliverables & maximize value with key suppliers.
Partner w/ Sourcing on execution of Strategic SPM & business engagement
Accountable for managing the SPM process for assigned suppliers & providing self-serve guidance for assigned categories, manage Visa Supplier Survey & Scorecard process to track supplier performance, KPIs/SLAs/KRIs, risk issues
Implement methodology to manage enterprise wide suppliers, coordinate & consolidate
Develop performance metrics, surveys, & scorecards aligned with organization priorities & manage supplier performance against ongoing trends to maximize supplier partnerships.
Manage Visa Supplier Survey & Scorecard process to track supplier performance, KPIs/SLAs/KRIs, risk issues, & more
Partners with Category Leads on SRM strategies for integration in category plans/strategies & partner to integrate program outputs into category plans & strategies for future negotiations & supplier selection.
Drive project management & activity across large cross-functional teams
Utilize analysis to solve business problems. Draw conclusions & insights that are not immediately obvious; evolve data analytics capabilities for assigned categories
Proactively build relationships with & influence internal & external stakeholders
Partner with Category Leads on supplier segmentation methodology for assigned category, as relevant
Produce regular performance related reporting for internal stakeholders
As relevant, collaborate with Visa Risk Stakeholders to address any risk issues
- 10 years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
10+ years of experience as a Supplier Management professional/Strategic Sourcing or in a related field with experience in managing Marketing agencies & suppliers
Understanding of the supplier marketplace with focus on Marketing Agencies
Knowledgeable about Procurement/Sourcing processes & methodology
Excellent written, oral & presentation skills & an ability to synthesize information & make clear, concise recommendations on course of action
In-depth knowledgeable about contract terms & conditions, SLAs, Supplier KPIs, & more.
Superior project management skills
High level of self-motivation & initiative, & ability to operate as a team player.
Strong relationship management skills & ability to influence at senior management level both internally & externally.
Excellent organizational & presentation skills, including an advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Project
Demonstrated thought leadership & the aptitude to think creatively & to identify new ways to approach old problems
Ability to identify & pursue multiple initiatives simultaneously & deliver superior results
Undergraduate degree required, graduate degree in business preferred
Professional accreditation in sourcing, procurement or supplier management a plus
