Job Description

Role:

As the local in market Toronto Office Manager, your role is to ensure that the office is operating effectively every day, while building a place that connects Squares to each other & our seller community. You will work with all teams across the company to help deliver a best in class experience. Our office manager is a creative problem solver, poised under pressure, & available resource to all of the employees in the office. You may support other local offices remotely on a as-needed basis for vacation coverage.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate day-to-day office operations

  • Responsible for building localized programs that connect Square's with each other & their communities

  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Culinary, Facilities, Events, AV, Trust & Safety, etc) to ensure those areas of the office are running smoothly & efficiently

  • Support employee, candidate & guest experience

  • Build strong relationships with local team, site leads

  • Lead the team seating moves, adds, & changes process

  • Responsible for managing the office budget & reconciling it monthly

  • Manage work order queue & ensure team is responding to all work order tickets submitted within committed SLAs

  • Coordinate & manage vendors on site (janitorial, pest, furniture)

  • Create inspiring, engaging experiences and/or installations featuring local Square sellers

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of Office Manager, Office Coordinator, or Project manager experience

  • Experience working in small startup environments a plus

  • Excellent communication skills both written & verbal, strong presentation skills

  • Demonstrated administrative experience supporting a team in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to work on a team & independently

  • Extremely reliable & with impeccable attention to detail

  • Thrive in an environment with multiple different projects, prioritizing appropriately

  • Strong vendor management experience

  • Robust skill set to support a diversified workforce & a remote Team environment
