Blue Aprons Content team brings the brand to life through enticing visuals & thought-provoking written materials that cater to new & existing customers alike. Through photography, videography, copy & styling, this team conceptualizes & executes campaigns that align with our brand identity, while driving desired customer behaviors & propelling our creative vision forward.

WHAT'S ON THE MENU

As part of the Content team, the senior social media manager is responsible for developing & implementing the organic social media strategy, improving organic social media metrics, ensuring that day-to-day operations are running smoothly on social media channels, & driving engagement from the Blue Apron community. The position reports to the Senior Director of Content.

Key responsibilities

  • Grow our social audiences & increase their engagement
  • Implement an overall social media strategy & individual channel strategies
  • Develop ideas for new, fresh, compelling social content & collaborate with content & design teams to create it
  • Plan, schedule, manage, & keep the social calendar & post all assets
  • Coordinate with the rest of the content team to make sure messaging across all channels is aligned & working with each other for maximum effect
  • Create compelling activations that draw from & showcase the passion & diversity of the Blue Apron community & well as collecting & deploying UGC
  • Become the expert on the social landscape & stay on top of social innovations & trends, pushing Blue Apron onto new platforms or in front of new audiences
  • Manage the senior social media associate

NECESSARY INGREDIENTS

  • Bachelor's degree from a top school with strong academic performance
  • 5 years social media experience
  • Strong project management skills
  • Proven ability to set & meet social growth benchmarks
  • Passion for creating innovative & engaging social experiences
  • Ability to think creatively
  • A self-starter with an ability to excel in a dynamic, ever-changing environment
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills
  • A love of food & cooking, & a strong desire to help create a better food system
