This position is for an attorney in Visa's Legal group covering Cybersource & Authorize.Net. The job is based in Foster City, Ca. The job reports to the Vice President & Associate General Counsel who covers this area.
Providing day to day legal support to account executives, product teams, & other internal clients
Drafting, reviewing, & negotiating of a range of agreements with external Visa clients
Reviewing presentations & other materials
Keeping abreast of changes in the law & periodically training internal team & clients
Coordinating with other functions at Visa
Working to improve internal processes
Juris Doctorate degree with strong academic record from an accredited law school
8+ years of legal experience covering drafting & negotiating commercial & licensing agreements for technology platforms, including experience as lead associate
Prior in-house experience preferred but not required
Experience working with Sales teams & advising Product teams
Experience in IP, IT, data protection, contract & commercial law preferred
Knowledge payment service industry, background in technology or computer science preferred
Exceptional analytical ability & advocacy skills
Excellent written, oral communication & negotiation skills
Demonstrated ability to drive execution in a team environment, integrating legal advice & business knowledge while providing balanced advice regarding risks & benefits
Strong people skills with proven ability to build strong working relationships with internal clients at all levels of management & work on cross-functional teams on complex deals
Practical & proactive problem-solver; confident, mature, calm under fire, with a positive attitude
Strong work ethic for a fast-paced environment
Admitted to CA bar in good standing or eligible for Registered in house counsel in CA.

- This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit & stand at a desk, communicate in person & by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones & computers, reach with hands & arms, & bend or lift up to 25 pounds.
