SoundCloud - the leading music entertainment company that offers the only direct-to-consumer music streaming platform & next generation artist services in the industry today - is seeking the worlds best Head of Consumer Product to join us.

SoundCloud is seeking a Director of Measurement & Analytics to support its Consumer business. This critical role is part of the Growth & Audience Development team, driving the behavioral analysis & insights to unearth new opportunities for audience acquisition & engagement across all audience platforms.  Your team will serve as the center of excellence for marketing experimentation & own the roadmap for behavioral analytics, insights, & tracking tools. 

In this role, youll also partner with various teams across the SoundCloud business, including brand marketing, editorial, & product, measuring the impact of major initiatives that touch the consumer.  Social analysis & editorial analytics will be a key component of this teams scope. 

Responsibilities:

  • Enable effective decision making by retrieving & aggregating data from multiple sources & compiling it into a digestible & actionable format
  • Prepare & deliver business reviews to the senior management team regarding Audience Growth
  • Define measurement & testing strategy, & conduct deep dives to identify new opportunities for consumer growth & engagement
  • Partner with the Data team to create & deliver the road map for advanced analytics that can optimize all parts of our creator & listener funnels for six key areas:
    • Marketing measurement, including bottom-up attribution & top-down marketing ROI across channels & tactics
    • Multi-channel audience reach
    • Test-and-learn management for a range of marketing experiments & interventions
    • Customer lifetime value
    • Propensity modeling, such as audience engagement & retention & recommendations of next-best-product
    • Customer experience measurement & driver analysis
  • Work with our Brand Partnerships team to intelligently package our audiences to help advertisers reach them in new & effective ways
  • Serve as a leader & role model for measurement & data visualization within our consumer org, & instill a deep love of & familiarity with data into the teams
  • Manage a team, currently 2 analysts

About You:

  • 7+ years of experience measuring digital audiences, preferably in multi-channel, multi-platform media or entertainment
  • Ability to clearly articulate & present analyses to all levels of management, including C-suite executives & Brand/Content leadership
  • Hands on experience with GA & app analytics tools a must; comfort writing SQL queries & Python code
  • Familiarity with MTA, MMA, & BigQuery 
  • A track record of creating new quantitative frameworks & structures to solve creative problems
  • Passionate about storytelling through best-in-class data visualization
  • Experience working with third-party agencies & vendors
  • Ability to collaborate well with individuals on-site & in remote offices
  • Self-driven for continual learning & ongoing training/development
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented
