The Squarespace Domains group is looking for a Backend Engineer! Our groups products offer customers the tools to establish the foundation of their digital presence. The teams are focused on building new features to allow customers to do more with their domains. The Reseller team is responsible for building, maintaining & enhancing the Domains Reseller API. The team aims to build a reliable, scalable & highly available API that can be used by other businesses that are looking to sell domains through their platform.

This is a hybrid role working from our Aveiro office 3 days per week. You will report to the Engineering Team Manager.

You'll Get To

• Help scale our services to support our growing product needs
• Participate in high impact projects to help build the future of the Domains & Email products
• Work with & learn from Senior & Staff engineers on the team
• You will lead well-scoped backend projects with guidance from senior engineers

Who We're Looking For

• 5 + years of experience developing production systems using Java or similar Object-oriented languages
• A solid foundation in computer science, with competencies in data structures, databases & software design practices
• BS or MS in Computer Science or related or equivalent industry experience
• Ownership towards features & projects you are working on
