We are looking for a Creative Manager who will oversee bringing the HelloFresh, Chefs Plate, & Factor brand visions to life in consumer facing creative assets & help fuel our growth in the Canadian market. Reporting into the Director of Brand, the Creative Manager will be the head of our Canadian in-house creative team bringing to life creative & design solutions across multiple areas within brand & performance marketing, retention & in-box experience, as well as product & operations.

  • Lead & develop an in-house & freelance creative team of designers, copywriters, & creative operations to create breakthrough marketing assets across online & offline channels (paid social, display, affiliate, web, CRM, direct mail, OOH, print) & key product & operations assets (packaging, recipe cards, & vehicle designs). 
  • Be a thought leader, advocating & experimenting on the latest best practices, tools, & trends within the industry to continuously optimize creative work, operate efficiently,  & keep HelloFresh at the forefront of the industry. 
  • Champion the brand voice & standards by upholding brand guidelines across assets for a cohesive visual strategy & tone in all channels. 
  • Drive a thoughtful triple brand approach between HelloFresh, Chefs Plate, & Factor to ensure creative distinctiveness within our portfolio.
  • Be responsible for the intake & on time delivery of creative assignments, managing team resources & prioritizing simultaneous projects for a variety of stakeholders.
  • Analyze the performance of marketing creative assets across different channels & make data-driven recommendations for creative improvements.
  • Identify & drive key areas where design thinking can positively impact the business & elevate creative effectiveness across brands.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (marketing, product, culinary, operations) to ensure consistent brand messaging & a seamless customer journey across all creative touchpoints. 
  • Regularly connect & collaborate with key global & US creative team stakeholders on best practices, creative direction, & share strong work across markets.
  • Recruit & manage a team of freelancers as required.
  • All other duties, as assigned

  • A continuous learner. You know that part of being a brilliant creative is taking, & receiving, critique. You are open to feedback & optimization.

You have: 

  • 6+ years of design experience creating a diverse range of print & digital designs, including 2+ years as a Senior Designer or Art Director. 
  • 1-2 years of leadership experience with leading a team of creatives. (across both design & copywriting is a plus)
  • Relevant experience working with consumer facing brands & B2C assets across digital, video, & print. Experience in food & beverage is a plus.
  • Experience drafting business cases around creative resourcing, creative business impact, & overall value of design for senior stakeholders
  • Experience pitching design thinking & concept ideas to senior stakeholders
  • Strong experience with Adobe programs such as Figma,  InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator - Adobe Premiere is a plus!
  • Proven working experience with Animation software: AfterEffects. 
  • Experience with motion/animation for multiple channels including digital, display, & email marketing activities.
  • An understanding of different marketing channel objectives from offline to online channels & their role in driving awareness, conversion, & retention.
  • Experience working with established branding systems & guidelines
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of HTML/CSS/CMS/Wordpress, (Front end web development experience a plus)
  • UX experience & understanding
  • Experience with food photography & videography is an asset
  • Knowledge of marketing analytics & A/B testing is an asset
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, startup/scale up environment is an asset
