The Vice President of Procurement - Sourcing will be a key leader, responsible for overseeing all aspects of ingredient & packaging sourcing for HelloFresh & its brands in the US. We are looking for an experienced & strategic sourcing leader who is interested in helping us grow our best-in-class food supply chain. The successful candidate will lead a team of sourcing professionals & technical specialists, & will work closely with cross-functional teams including operations, culinary, quality, & finance. We are looking for hands-on, data-driven talent with a focus on speed & agility. This person will play a major role in supporting the on-going success of HelloFresh & the evolution of our business. 

You will

• Manage the procurement P&L, developing our budget & managing the cost savings & product improvement roadmaps
• Develop & execute sourcing strategies to support HelloFresh's growth objectives, including identifying & evaluating new suppliers, negotiating contracts, & managing supplier relationships
• Cultivate our world-class sourcing team as we continue to expand & optimize all aspects of our supply chain to include strategic partnerships & insourcing opportunities
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including replenishment, operations, culinary, quality, & finance to ensure that sourcing strategies are aligned with business objectives & meet the needs of internal stakeholders
• Monitor industry trends & changes in the competitive landscape to identify opportunities & risks, & adjust sourcing strategies accordingly
• Ensure that all sourcing activities are conducted in compliance with company policies & applicable laws & regulations
• Develop & maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, working collaboratively with them to identify opportunities for innovation & cost savings
• Develop & implement processes & tools to track supplier performance & manage supplier risk

At a minimum, you have...

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in food/packaging sourcing or procurement, with at least 7 years in a leadership role with a national consumer product business or e-commerce company
• Deep knowledge of best practice procurement methodology, including RFPs, clean sheet cost modeling, total cost of ownership, root cause problem solving, & supplier evaluation / qualification processes
• Demonstrated success in developing & executing sourcing strategies that deliver cost savings, quality improvements, & innovation
• Strong negotiation & contract management skills
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal & external stakeholders
• Extremely strong analytical skills with a passion for using data to develop innovative, effective solutions to address business needs. Ability to execute deep dives to eliminate problems at their source 
• Excitement for working in a fast-paced environment with a high level of ambiguity & change
• Strong leadership & people management skills, with a track record of developing & motivating high-performing teams
