People Operations Coordinator 

What's the opportunity?

The People Operations Coordinator is a key member of the People Operations team in helping support a great employee lifecycle experience for our Chicago, IL office! Reporting to the Head of Global People Operations, the People Ops Coordinator will play an integral role in supporting the growing team. 

What will I be doing?

  • Responsible for data entry, integrity & HRIS reports of sensitive employee data & information

  • Coordinate & administer global new hire onboarding process, including welcome emails, new hire paperwork, employment verification, & data entry

  • Administer global Verifications of Employment 

  • Adhere to documentation & retention measures; always seeking to improve processes that ensure legal compliance

  • Maintain global employee personnel files 

  • Coordinate global offboarding process, system/account deactivation, final pay requests & conduct employee exit interviews for individual contributors  

  • Assist with administration of company benefits programs: healthcare, dental, vision & perks  

  • Maintain/update People Ops materials including: benefit forms/pamphlets, government compliance forms/posters & internal intranet resources 

  • Responsible for reviewing & processing all global People Ops invoices

  • Answer employee questions regarding benefits, employee lifecycle etc. 

  • Other assignments & projects, as needed 

What skills do I need?

  • 0-1+ years experience in a Human Resources/People Operations function, preferably in a tech start-up environment

  • Excellent attention to detail & organizational skills

  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, presentation, & interpersonal)

  • Exemplary client service skills

  • Values & respects confidentiality

  • The ability to handle multiple projects & competing priorities & adapt to a fluid, high-growth environment

  • Team player with a sense of ownership & get things done attitude - self-motivated & able to thrive in a fast-paced & self-directed environment

  • Comfort level with technical systems & software, experience with Workday is a plus

  • Able to combine great people intuition, business judgement & discretion in your decision-making

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent from an accredited university, highly desired
