Job Description

Visa Direct is a high priority digital product for Visa globally, offering enormous potential for new payment volume & revenue. This exciting service enables Visa partners (issuers, acquirers, processors, merchants & service providers) to provide real-time services for use-cases such as : Person-to-person payments via messaging platforms ( e.g. Facebook, Google), Payouts to marketplace suppliers ( e.g. Uber, Lyft), Conventional disbursements (insurance, compensation claims, tax refunds), Person-to-micro-business payments ( e.g. sole proprietors). Visa's Digital products focus on building additional flexibility into our existing platform architecture to launch into the market new & innovative offerings that create tremendous value for payments service providers.

The Visa Direct Platform team is seeking a qualified candidate to lead the Program Management for the Product Platform team.

The candidate would be playing a key role in managing the day to day program planning & support for the platform team.

The position would be responsible for providing strategic, tactical & operation program management support for the entire platform team.

The candidate would also be responsible for tracking the overall platform plan against targets & timelines

Responsibilities:

The role will be primarily responsible for supporting the Visa Direct Platform team in managing the platform operations function.

This individual selected for this position will interact with many cross-functional stakeholders, including various Technology teams, CSS, Analytics, & business function leads. This role is global & will need to facilitate creation & management of a coherent & updated platform plan & its effective communication with all stakeholders.

Additionally, this role requires flexibility & open mindset to support different global & regional views & accommodate for & coordinate for local times.

Accomplishing this will require a nuanced ability to influence & collaborate across a complex & highly matrixed organization. Key responsibilities would include, but not limited to below:

  • Managing a coherent & comprehensive platform plan

  • Collaborating across functional teams to ensure timely identification of issues & facilitate trade-offs & prioritization as necessary

  • Effectively communicating & updating the platform plan & status to various internal stakeholders & at internal assets & portals appropriately.

  • Creating, managing & communicating platform level analytics to surface key trends & usage at a product & platform level.

  • Performing boundary scanning function in keeping abreast with the latest innovation & development in the industry, performing an SME role for the team & feeding into the platform plan

  • Be the resource, key player to ensuring platform related operation activities are tracked, & addressed appropriately. The individual will help coordinated within platform, CS, & Technology to ensure issues are not dropped & communicated effectively with all stakeholder

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

6years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD)

PreferredQualifications:

  • 8-10 years of experience + bachelor's degree, or 6 years of experience + master's degree in a fast-paced environment navigating ambiguity successfully; prior experience at Visa and/or the payments industry is a plus

  • Self-starter, self-motivated, & highly driven with a track record of working productively in an independent fashion. You will have considerable latitude for decision-making across your projects & programs based on your performance

  • A jack-of-all trades, always learning & comfortable with constant change; driving priorities & activities on your projects & programs

  • Advanced knowledge of core program management skills & competencies

  • Proven track record to bring your critical thinking skills to solve problems, remove barriers, & enable your team to succeed

  • Ability to exercise effective judgement & show grace under pressure with examples to prove it

  • Lead by example while adhering to Visa's principles. It's not just what you do, but how you do it that makes you so special

Additional Information

Work Hours

Incumbent must make themselves available to support clients & partners in global timezones.

Travel Requirements

This position requires the incumbent to travel for work less than10% of the time.

Physical Requirements

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit & stand at a desk, communicate in person & by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones & computers, & reach with hands & arms.
