The Field Service Technician is responsible for delivery of premier customer service & product repair to Peloton Commercial customers.  The Field Service Technician position will exercise considerable independent discretion & judgment to support & service World Class Fitness Products including; Cardio, Strength, Video & Networked systems. We are looking for someone that will be a face of the company to our customers. The role will be providing a high level of customer care & technical troubleshooting to resolve product & customer issues at customer locations.

The technician provides technical assistance to other servicing agents & end users. Install, troubleshoot, analyze & repair Precor fitness & entertainment equipment. Ensure a sound working relationship with customers in a defined territory. Utilize Computer Dispatch System for timely, detailed, accurate record keeping. Position reports to the Regional Customer Service Manager.



Essential Job Function


Independently isolate & resolve issues raised by Precor customers.

  • Follow all safety protocols in the process of diagnostics & repairs
  • Insure detail accurate & timely documentation of diagnostic steps & repair actions.


Manage your own appointment schedule with customer following dispatch from Home Office.


Directly interface with all levels of customer's organizations on a wide range of product topics.


Install new equipment and/or modifications.

  • Update customer records in CRM system as work is completed


Perform preventive maintenance checks & adjustments.

  • Complete a detailed report for the customers record & to be included with service case record.


Provide technical support to customers on-site or remotely as needed to resolve issues.


Advise or train customer on proper operation, maintenance of their Precor equipment.


Provide detailed reporting on equipment problems in the field.


Maintain a prescribed inventory of spare parts.

  • Maintain provided electronic inventory files to insure accuracy of on hand inventory


Maintain company supplied vehicle in good working order.





Associates Degree in Electronics, Technical School Degree as Electronics Technician, or equivalent exeprience

Experience & Skills:

  • 12 months as a Field Service Technician, preferably working with Fitness equipment or products of equivalent or greater complexity.
  • Must have & maintain a current valid drivers license with a good driving record.

  • Daily local travel is required (Austin, TX area)
  • Working around customer's schedules will require flexibility of working hours of both start & end times during a typical work period.
  • Equipment to be serviced will be located in Public corporate & private fitness centers. Occasionally it will necessary to service equipment in private residences
  • Moderate computer use / data entry
  • Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.


Moderate physical effort in corporate & commercial Fitness center environment.  Lifting of parts / products is required.The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
