About the Job:

Were looking for a smart & curious Senior Product Designer, Mobile with demonstrated expertise across the fundamentals of UX, UI, interaction design, systems design, & testing/research. Our Product Designers own the design process from end-to-end: tirelessly advocating for the customer from initial ideation & vision work, through discovery & design, all the way to user testing & post-launch iterations. In this role, you will focus on our iOS App, by far the most popular way our subscribers shop. You will own future state app design visions & the near-term solutions that move our products towards those visions. Our app sits in the center of our customer experience, so you will partner with your fellow designers to bring their designs to life in the app.

What Youll Do:

  • Create delightful mobile user experiences that are as functional as they are inspirational
  • Facilitate discovery meetings & vision-setting processes to define product & project objectives, outlining the long-term goals & short-term deliverables
  • Lead & manage usability tests (setting up screeners, discussion guides, & moderating users)
  • Determine & manage various types of UX deliverables & solutions throughout the lifecycle of a project, from brief to launch
  • Create standard app design patterns & work with RTR designers to implement their adoption, with the goal of creating a scalable, consistent, intuitive app user experience
  • Communicate UX strategy & rationale for research, audits, personas, user flows, wireframes, content mapping, campaign flows & functional specs
  • Develop presentations articulating user experience strategy, opportunities & how usability relates to a larger brand experience
  • Interface & lead projects with product managers, designers, brand managers, developers, & vendors
  • Provide mentorship & guidance to other experience designers on additional projects when necessary

About You:

  • 5+ years of experience working in a mobile consumer-focused business/product
  • Strong understanding of experience principles & customer needs such as motivations & behaviors, with the ability to translate them into engaging & actionable deliverables
  • Ability to create & present strategic experiences that ladder up into business goals & opportunities
  • Excellent verbal & written skills to be able to communicate to both technical & non-technical savvy audience members
  • Ability to prioritize tasks & meet deadlines under pressure with little management
  • Ability to critique the quality of both UX & visual designs to improve the final product experience creating immersive websites, mobile websites, mobile applications, experiential elements & paid media campaigns
  • Strong attention to detail & organizational skills
  • Strong sense of accountability & ownership of projects
  • Experience presenting to executives & guiding decisions for new enhancements, features or redesigns
  • Experience working in an agile environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Figma (including prototyping) & UserTesting

The anticipated base salary for this position is $123,000 - $162,000. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held. This position is also eligible for equity compensation.
