About the Department

Marketing builds awareness, drives acquisition, & expands usage by developing innovative, breakthrough campaigns that are delivered through multiple channels, including our website, blog, emails, social media, events, & advertising. Product Marketing plays a central role by partnering throughout the company to deliver customer insights, take new & existing products to market, & develop content that fuels growth campaigns.

What you'll do

The Customer Advocacy Marketing Manager is responsible for identifying, recruiting, & mobilizing advocates of Cloudflare. This person will lead & manage customer engagement & communications programs that help marketing, sales, & product management meet business objectives through customer advocacy initiatives.

Successful candidates will have experience in building customer reference programs & will have a passion for identifying key customers that can serve as a marketing channel through case studies, blog posts, speaking opportunities, & more. You will enjoy this role if you like working with fast-paced teams, leading cross-functionally, & having autonomy to drive your initiatives.

You will be a part of our global Product Marketing team which includes Content Marketing, Developer Relations, & Community Development. This role reports directly to the Head of Product Marketing.

What you'll do

  • Build & execute a comprehensive customer engagement & advocacy strategy to achieve sales, marketing, & product adoption goals.
  • Oversee Cloudflares customer reference program, including library of customer success stories, videos, & blogs.
  • Work closely with our Sales team to identify customer reference prospects. Liaise with customers to develop content.
  • Partner with Community Development to develop programs that identify & generate positive word of mouth from community members.
  • Develop & execute a regional Customer Advisory Council program to inform our product roadmap.

Examples of desired skills, knowledge, & qualifications

  • 4+ years in either a marketing or customer success function.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively influence both internal & external stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity & navigate unforeseen obstacles gracefully.
  • Results oriented with experience using qualitative & quantitative metrics with a focus on revenue, conversion, sales, & other marketing goals.
