Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a Regulatory Analyst to join our Regulatory Operations team in our Arizona office.

About the role:

As Regulatory Analyst, you will be a key member of the Regulatory Operations team responsible for project managing & supporting discrete tasks to ensure Oscar is compliant with federal & state health plan requirements. This position works closely with internal Oscar teams & interfaces with our external regulators.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation & filing of Oscar's insurance products through the annual QHP filings
  • Support successful relationships with regulatory bodies, including state insurance regulators (e.g., DMHC in California, Arizona Department of Insurance, Texas Department of Insurance), & state-based exchanges (e.g., Covered California).
  • Maintain processes for internal tracking & monitoring annual filings with diverse teams.
  • Contribute to the development of a repository of internal procedural guides on annual filing obligations to support teams & retain institutional knowledge.

Requirements:

  • You have a Bachelor's degree or a combination of education & experience.
  • You have at least 3-4+ years of QHP filings experience
  • You have a demonstrated ability to take ownership with strong work ethic & follow-through skills.
  • You have demonstrable project management skills.

Bonus points:

  • A technical bend & the ability to use tools to answer your own questions (e.g. SQL/Python)
  • Experience with startups
