Established in April 2018, U.S. Integrity (USI) provides tailored integrity, fraud prevention, and consulting services to organizations of all sizes, from major professional sports leagues and collegiate conferences to sportsbook operators throughout the country. Leveraging various data feeds from third-parties and unique expertise producing a proprietary dashboard and robust reporting, USI provides clients transparency into wagering information and identifies abnormalities within the U.S. betting environment.
USI is based in Las Vegas and New York. This position, however, can be based remotely.

About the Role
The regulated sports betting market is rapidly expanding and maturing. Our mission remains to support our clients via transparency through data-driven reporting and analytics. As a Quantitative Data Scientist at USI, you will be responsible for building internal and client-facing interfaces that assist the end-user in manipulating and/or easily understanding data (i.e. tell a story with data).
Your main focus will be supporting the business in building tools leveraged by sports organizations and sportsbook operators. You will be responsible for coding and maintaining algorithms deployed amongst various wagering and contest-level data sets. This role will challenge your technical savvy working across all aspects of the algorithms; system-level through specific strategy code. You will be the crucial first hire for a quantitative team, part of a company looking to scale, automate, and create. As such, you will be a valued conversational partner who has an understanding of consumer needs and how to address those in a technical sense.
Identify and execute productization opportunities amongst unique data sets and deploy sports models into production.
Create statistical and machine learning models and integrate them into pricing engines for different sports.
Collect and engineer sports data assets to assist in model development.
Build advanced analytics tools for sportsbook product development.
Investigate, identify, develop, and optimize new methods, algorithms, and technologies to derive novel, competitive insights from disparate data sources.
Provide realistic estimates for project and software development timelines ensuring accountability.
Utilize exhaustive testing and debugging skills as part of the development process.
Stay current on industry development and trends to maintain ongoing business awareness and a competitive edge.
Define and create predictive modeling opportunities for contests, player, and referee behavior leveraging existing and future data pulls.
Be highly focused on quality, driven by excellence.
Key Skills & Characteristics
Excellent academic record in a subject with a strong computational emphasis (e.g. computer science, engineering, physics, mathematics etc.); BS/BA required; PhD/MSc is preferred.
Strong coding experience in C++ and SQL required.
Enjoys writing efficient and clear code. At home thinking about large-scale design as well as making the implementation specifics great. Gets a sense of achievement out of seeing their code running in the real world. Likes to get involved in performance and machine specifics when optimizing code speed.
Ability to also code in C, Python, Java, MATLAB, and/or other languages a plus.
Ability to communicate ideas clearly and work well in a cross-disciplinary team.
