The Tech I & O team supports & protects the systems & apps that communicate with our customers, warehouses, customer service, payment providers, & more. In short, we support & manage the systems that keep the business running and, more importantly, make dogs happy. We work collaboratively (no such thing as too many questions) & scientifically (test & measure whenever we can), while taking the work--but not ourselves--too seriously. We generally work with squads of engineers, product designers, data analysts, QA & product management. We also work closely with stakeholders throughout the company to get things done. WHO WERE LOOKING FOR

As a member of the Tech Infrastructure & Operations Team you will be responsible for maintaining Barks operational security posture by monitoring company systems, responding to security incidents, securing the Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment pipelines, & driving the evolution of next generation technologies for threat detection & response.

As BARKs subject matter expert in Information Security you will be a central resource for valuable security design & operational insights for cloud administrators, development squads & business units.   

KEY DUTIES

• Manage security detection & response systems, monitor & detect security events, assess alarms, & respond to intrusion attempts & false alarms.
• Ensure all devices, applications, services, & product systems are designed & implemented to the highest security standards & protected against known industry threats.
• Prioritize, manage, & track the remediation of vulnerabilities & risks to all Bark system assets.
• Provide DevSecOps support to the product deployment processes & continuously add efficiencies & automation. 
• Conduct annual security analysis of systems including endpoints, cloud services, network architecture & the continuous integration process.
• Keep up with emerging security trends, vulnerabilities, & recommendations
• Communicate cybersecurity risks & remediation to technical & non-technical audiences

EXPERIENCE 

• 4+ years of experience in monitoring & analyzing security events, anomalies, & unauthorized or illegal activity (e.g. Security Analyst or a similar role)
• 2+ year of hands-on experience in DevOps, SecOps, Networking, & Cloud Infrastructure 
• In-depth understanding & dedication to the study of cybersecurity concepts & solutions
• Strong analytical skills in root cause analysis, troubleshooting, & problem solving

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS 

• Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Information Security, Risk Management, or related field of study.
• Minimum of 5 to 7 years hands-on experience in an Information Security role.
• Experience with two or more major cloud service providers: Google Cloud, AWS, or Microsoft Azure.
• 2 years of hands on experience with DLP administration & monitoring solutions. 
• Experience working with cloud security tools & procedures, & cloud access security brokers (CASBs). 
• Experience with endpoint monitoring & response.
• Experience conducting threat modeling & system design reviews to assess security implications & requirements for introduction of new technologies. 
• Experience with cloud networking & security monitoring technologies.
