You will own the development & execution of Newselas brand & marketing communications strategy. In addition, you will work closely with Product Marketing on thought leadership content development. Reporting directly to the CMO, you will serve as a core member of the marketing organization & collaborate across Newsela on brand ambassadorship, PR, social media, & thought leadership.


  • Assess Newselas current brand platform & recommend changes to brand platform, attributes, tone of voice, & visual identity in order to support the companys desired market positioning & next wave of growth.
  • Execute the recommended changes to Newselas brand, & provide ongoing brand management support to the company.
  • Build & execute the companys external marketing communications (PR) & social media strategy & plan.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Marketing & Demand Generation teams to determine & help build thought leadership content that will help position Newsela as a trusted business partner to administrators & educators.


  • Minimum 10 years experience in corporate marketing, branding & communications in a B2B or public sector capacity.
  • Exceptional communication skills & ability to influence across teams
  • Ability to deliver results in a dynamic, high-growth environment
  • Flexibility to quickly adapt & change strategy to align with business needs
