As a Workday Reporting Specialist, you will be joining our existing reporting team to support stakeholders understanding business requirements related to our people data within Workday. Your responsibilities will include creating simple reports to developing complex reports & dashboards for a wide array of end users. You'll also take ownership for the administration & improvement of the Workday reporting processes & play a main role within our data governance & quality program. The support you'll provide is critical for decision-making as we aim to improve our internal processes & move the organization towards actionable insights using data & analytics.

Responsibilities :

  • Take ownership of the overall HR reporting function within the HR Technology & Analytics department
  • Developing simple to complex Workday reports & dashboards, including matrix & composite reports & calculated fields, utilizing Workday Report Writer & Report Designer
  • Ability to report on all HR system modules, specifically Workday Compensation, Time & Absence, Benefits, Performance Management, Talent, Payroll & HCM Core
  • Maintaining existing built reports & dashboards to ensure they are still fit for purpose
  • Monitoring & maintaining all scheduled reporting for appropriate users & data access
  • Investigating & resolving report related issues in a timely manner
  • Serving as an escalation point for fixing HR reporting inquires/issues
  • Actively participating in Workday Community by researching best practices & monitoring new & updated reporting & analytics functionality
  • Reviewing system upgrades/releases to determine overall business impact, conduct regression testing & make recommendations for future enhancements/functionality
  • Providing ad hoc support as necessary to HR & business leaders
  • Maintain partnerships across HR, FP&A, IT, Accounting, & other business groups to support our overall People strategy of moving towards a culture of data driven decision making
  • Supporting with actionable, effective & impactful reports & dashboards
  • Taking initiative to anticipate business needs & making recommendations
  • Training & promoting self-service reporting functionality with end users
  • Participating in various projects & initiatives while working collaboratively with other team members
  • Be a main stakeholder in our data governance & quality program to enhance data accuracy & strategy across the People function
  • Developing audit reporting & a framework for data quality checks
  • Analyzing data sets & troubleshooting inconsistencies to provide to our data management team for clean-up activities
  • Supporting the proper use, access, storage & transmission of sensitive employee data
  • Assist the People Analytics team with building, maintaining & actioning our strategic reporting roadmap

Additional Requirements :

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in reporting & information delivery to stakeholders, with 2+ years in Workday report writing & dashboards
  • A strong working knowledge of HR systems, functions, processes & advanced reporting environments
  • Advanced Excel & PowerPoint skills; familiarity with advanced spreadsheets, pivot tables, formulas, & data visualization; ability to learn new software & technologies as needed
  • Strong organizational, analytical & problem-solving skills & excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal & written communication & interpersonal skills; ability to communicate confidently & professionally with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teams & as an individual contributor; ability to manage time effectively & manage multiple competing priorities
  • Strong technology aptitude & interest in research, data, metrics & analysis
  • Desire & ability to thrive in a fast pace environment that continuously challenges & evolves their thinking.
  • Solution oriented attitude that focuses on continuous improvement; ability to diagnose issues & clearly articulate solutions
