THE POSITION:

The Commercial Analyst will support our Commercial team to optimize our casino proposition & guide our approach to the overall casino strategy. They will play an important role in deriving business & customer insights, monitoring business performance, spotting trends & criticalities, & will report periodically to the leadership team. This role will have a specific analytical focus supporting initiatives across product (e.g. defining KPIs to monitor) & marketing (e.g. optimal promotional spend). You will put your quantitative & strategic skills to work by supporting the evolution of various tools, models, & data visualizations used to keep FanDuel Casino at the forefront of the industry.

THE GAME PLAN:
Everyone on our team has a part to play

• Establish measures of success & create, modify, & evolve data visualizations & models to better understand & explain the performance of various KPIs
• Create & maintain automated reporting processes visible to group-wide teams
• Partner with stakeholders to produce insights & provide recommendations to improve / complement our casino proposition
• Take creative license to ideate & explore new opportunities
• Assess opportunities to grow our profit margin through optimization of betting product & behavior
• Support the marketing team to assess the performance of our promotional spend to inform our distribution
• Actively monitor market trends, industry development & business performance & report regularly to the leadership & cross functional teams
• Make recommendations to vertical leaders on actions & decisions that will help grow the business, including:
• Ongoing review of marketing efficiencies
• Product roadmap prioritization
• Collaborating with cross-functional casino teams to answer challenging questions with data
• Preparing monthly performance, commercial & financial insights to share with leadership

THE STATS:
What we're looking for in our next teammate

• Bachelors degree in a highly numerate (math, stats, econ, finance, etc.) or relevant professional experience in data and/or business analysis
• Minimum 1 year of professional experience in a strategic (e.g. consulting) or analytical position
• Professional experience with SQL & Excel required; familiarity with Python or R a plus
• Experience building presentations (i.e. PowerPoint) & delivering them to senior members of a team
• Strong problem-solving skills, combined with a track record of transforming data into actionable business insight
• Personal organizational & time management skills
• Effective at relationship building & sensitive to stakeholders' needs
• Loves learning & seeks challenges
• Interest in online gambling or online casino preferred
• Experience with tableau / data visualization a plus
