Position Overview:

Rent the Runway is looking for a freelance product copywriter to write, edit, & proof stylist notes to be published on the website every week. This candidate will work closely with the site merchandising team to deliver SEO-friendly descriptions that are dynamic, witty, playful & aligned with the overarching brand voice. 

Responsibilities:

• Write, edit & proof stylist notes (product descriptions) & product names 5 days per week
• Collaborate with the site merchandising team to link associated products in descriptions
• Be flexible with a changing workload that varies week per week 
• Work remotely

• You have a natural knack for brand storytelling, specifically to Rent the Runways smart & savvy female consumer
• You are able to hit deadlines & work remotely with little oversight or supervision

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required. Undergraduate degree in Marketing/Advertising, English, Journalism or equivalent preferred
• 1+ years of experience writing product descriptions for an online retailer 
• Demonstrated excellence & focus on writing & editing -- writing examples and/or portfolio strongly encouraged
