The role

Your responsibilities as a Sales Development Representative will be to prospect & qualify opportunities with senior decision makers. You will work closely with a dedicated Account Executive to find new sales opportunities. 

This role will be part of a rapidly growing, high performing SDR team that are consistently overachieving their targets. 

You will be responsible for introducing GoCardless to new prospects, identifying the client's pains, uncovering opportunities, & growing the pipeline through creative email outreach & introductory calls. This will entail researching & identifying relevant stakeholders in the sales decision-making process. 

This role will primarily be an outbound position to;

  • Generate interest through prospecting, 
  • Establishing GoCardless value proposition for new sectors
  • Develop prospect nurture-flow through to a fully qualified SQL
  • Drive phone & email activity while articulating GoCardless value proposition
  • Track your activity on


  • Outbound B2B sales experience is essential
  • Entrepreneurial mind-set with a hunger to succeed
  • Self-motivated with the ambition to hit a monthly quota.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to maintain high activity in a fast-paced sales environment
  • Persistence, sales spirit & objection handling skills are critical.
  • Experience using Salesforce, working in a start-up or FinTech company are all beneficial but not required
