This position will partner with the various stakeholders throughout Visa to develop & manage legal binding agreements & contracts from approved financial proposals. This person will be an advocate for the Sales organization (e.g., Co-branding, Financial Institution Sales, DPS, Prepaid, Commercial, Merchant Acceptance, etc.) while working closely with Finance, Legal, Strategy & Audit. Position will also develop & manage the agreements that can range from Non-Disclosure agreements to more complex agreements such as merchant acceptance agreements, master service agreements, Signature account agreements, etc.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Contract development, contract approval coordination, contract file & database management, recurring & ad hoc reporting, etc.
Facilitate & participate in contract negotiations with internal partners & external parties
Document contract changes from initial draft through final execution
Distribute contracts (pre & post signature) to appropriate parties
Collaborate with Finance to fulfill Visa payment obligations
Liaise with Sales, Finance, Legal, Strategy & Audit to ensure contracts are developed & approved promptly
Assist with contract administration activities, including but not limited to record maintenance, database management & other post-execution assistance
Participate in special assignments & provide ad hoc support & reporting as required
4 years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD degree
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Strong understanding of Visa Products & Services
Previous contract writing experience a plus
Excellent written & verbal communication skills
Ability to work well with management & leaders across various functions throughout Visa
Manages well under pressure & tight deadlines
Strong attention to detail & ability to multi-task
Proven ability to work independently
Great interpersonal & negotiation skills
Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint & Excel (Required)
Previous experience with Salesforce, Apttus or similar contract management software (preferred)
Work Hours - Incumbent must make themselves available during core business hours.
Travel requirements -Position will be based in Foster City, anddoes not require the incumbent to travel presently.
Physical Requirements -This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit & stand at a desk, communicate in person & by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones & computers, & reach with hands & arms.
