Tripadvisor recently launched Tripadvisor Plus, a subscription product that provides deals on unlimited bookings at 100,000+ hotels worldwide; room upgrades & perks at select properties; savings on tickets, tours, & more.

The Manager, Business Development will join this high-visibility team to support several key areas of Tripadvisor Plus, including strategy & business operations. The Manager will also manage important projects (such as the launch of new partnerships in the market), & help drive internal team alignment. The team moves very quickly, & job responsibilities will change day-to-day. Ultimately, this individual will be responsible for helping the Plus team achieve its goals for subscriber & revenue growth.

You will report directly to the VP, Business Development. 

What Youll Do:

  • Lead market research in regards to competitive analysis, market analysis, & the like in order to update the team for prospective partners. 

  • Develop frameworks, business cases, & financial analysis to drive decision making.

  • Assist in launching & managing new Tripadvisor Plus partners in the market, 

  • Will join partner calls, brainstorming + strategy sessions, & help synthesize deliverables & assist in creating partnership frameworks.

  • Project manage high profile, cross-functional projects with senior stakeholders, externally & internally. 

  • Analyze key performance indicators of the business to evaluate areas for high impact projects that could significantly grow Plus subscribers.

  • Assist in developing executive level presentations, reference materials, & any other relevant materials needed. 

  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders across a large, cross-functional team, including legal, marketing, product, creative, research, engineering, etc.

  • Lead cross-functional teams [i.e. Marketing, Product, Engineering, Legal, & PR] to work with partners to execute on programs & monitor through the develop of those programs to ensure their success 

  • Implement new partners & optimize to achieve target results 

  • Liaise with marketing, product & engineering teams to inform product development with partner requirements

What Were Looking For:

  • 5-7 years of professional experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, or business development. 

  • Action-oriented individual who is willing to help solve difficult problems internally, while keeping smooth communication with partners externally. 

  • Team player who can collaborate across the Tripadvisor organization.

  • Curiosity & willingness to learn.

  • Analytical mindset with experience analyzing & synthesizing multiple data sources, developing robust business cases, storytelling & building executive level presentations.

  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills, including strong executive presence & strong cross-team collaboration & relationship building skills.

  • An organized, entrepreneurial self-starter who can identify what needs to get done & make it happen.

  • Experience in travel, technology, media, and/or direct-to-consumer/subscription businesses.
