Team Whistle is seeking an experienced Account Manager. This position will service multiple clients & will sit within the organizations Client Services division, reporting directly to the Associate Director of Accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the direct, day-to-day relationship & on-going strategic development of assigned client accounts
  • Manage budgets for individual programs as well as the master client budget
  • Draft/update statement(s) of work (SOWs) at the end of fiscal terms & as necessary during current service terms, including corresponding budgets for personnel resourcing & outside costs
  • Manage personnel resourcing on assigned accounts & advise executive team on incremental needs whether contract based or full time as needed
  • Manage partnerships, sponsor affiliations & vendor relationships on assigned client accounts
  • Oversee activities on assigned accounts, including: strategic campaign planning, micro content production, calendaring/publication schedules, sponsorship commitment execution, platform moderation, paid media, analytics gathering, performance reporting & overall client communications
  • Work with client to establish voice & brand, key messaging platform, campaign benchmarks, KPIs, asset delivery processes, request protocols, approval processes, communication flow, creative direction, control standards, regular check-in opportunities & adapt to changes as they come
  • Keep apprised of clients brands/products/services/marketing developments their key issues, completive situation & research industry & relevant trends & ensure internal team is kept up to date accordingly
  • Effectively present agency work & proposals to clients, ensuring all work product is of a high caliber, & support team members in doing the same
  • Direct activity on assigned accounts, keeping clients informed of account direction & maintaining forward momentum on projects 
  • Coordinate project timing & budget with relevant personnel, & provide clients with regular timeline & budget updates
  • Lead client meetings & ensure recaps are shared with internal team & clients
  • Work with internal team to provide client reporting & results analysis of key programs & initiatives 
  • Gain buy-in from internal/external stakeholders (including other agencies, if applicable) to ensure we are aligned with overall business goals & are able to direct our efforts appropriately
  • Serve as the key advocate to clients & be prepared to advise them on all fronts to drive success, including: general business operations, product development, product marketing, overall public-facing messaging, sponsor strategy, brand integration, & partnership/influencer opportunities
  • Work with internal team to establish style guides, asset organization, platform ownership, metrics evaluation processes & revise strategy as needed
  • Lead internal team on priorities, opportunities, & client objectives 
  • Conduct ongoing quality control across all workstreams to ensure client messaging/communications are clear & compelling
  • Establish new processes, whether custom fit for an individual client or uniform across multiple clients, in order to drive greater efficiencies
  • Proactively identify potential internal or external issues & either work toward their resolution and/or escalate them to executive staff as required
  • Ensure internal team members time spent on assigned client projects is accurately tracked

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Must be located in United Kingdom, but will consider candidates from continental Europe
  • 2-4 years experience working in marketing or relatable agency experience
  • Sports, Publisher and/or Entertainment industry background preferred
  • Proficient in building decks using PowerPoint & Keynote
  • Must have excellent verbal & written communication & collaboration skills
  • Must be highly organized & able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must be a strategic thinker with strong project management skills
  • Willingness to work additional hours (sometimes on Sundays) & travel as needed
  • Must be able to multi-task, problem solve, manage multiple timelines & work across functions
  • Perform tactical tasks effectively & with minimal supervision
  • Develops collaborative relationships with team members, displays clear communication & act proactively
