Role Description

As a Product Engineer at OTC, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, & maintaining AI-powered software applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, data scientists, & ML engineers, to build robust & scalable solutions that deliver exceptional value to our clients. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the entire product lifecycle, from ideation & prototyping to deployment & optimization.  This is a 01 environment & were trying to define the category of AI products.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers & stakeholders to understand business requirements & translate them into technical specifications for AI-powered software applications.
• Work closely with ML engineers to integrate AI components seamlessly into the overall software product architecture.
• Develop responsive & performant frontend applications using modern web technologies such as HTML, CSS, & JavaScript frameworks like React.
• Implement interactive user interfaces that effectively communicate complex AI functionalities & data insights to end-users.
• Work closely with UX/UI designers to ensure seamless integration of design elements, branding, & usability principles into the frontend development process.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate frontend components with server-side logic & APIs, ensuring optimal performance & data flow.
• Optimize frontend performance to deliver fast & efficient user experiences, considering factors such as page load times, rendering speed, & responsiveness.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends & advancements in frontend development, UI/UX design, & AI technologies, bringing innovative ideas & best practices to the team.
• Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing sessions, & provide mentorship to junior team members, fostering a collaborative & growth-oriented culture.

Many teams at Dropbox run Services with on-call rotations, which entails being available for calls during both core & non-core business hours. If a team has an on-call rotation, all engineers on the team are expected to participate in the rotation as part of their employment. Requirements

• Strong interpersonal skills to lead your projects cross-functionally
• 8 years of experience as a backend engineer or a full stack engineer
• Strong proficiency in backend/frontend development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, & popular frameworks like React
• Knowledge of frontend build tools, module bundlers, & package managers (e.g., Webpack, Babel, npm)
• Strong problem-solving skills & the ability to translate user requirements into practical frontend solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams & present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
