ABOUT THE ROLE

The Stylist Assistant works closely with the Studio Stylist, has a keen attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, experience & knowledge of prepping clothing & accessories is essential to this position. The ideal candidate will be experienced, detail oriented, organized, & will demonstrate comfort with ambiguity. A positive attitude is a must with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will possess the ability to succeed with minimal guidance & be skilled at anticipating problems & resolving them.

WHAT YOULL DO

The Stylist Assistant works closely with the Studio Stylist, has a keen attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, experience & knowledge of prepping clothing & accessories is essential to this position. The studio is fast-paced environment with an average of 30-100 items per bay daily, depending on category of business. A strong focus & sense of urgency is required along with the following skills:

  • Prepping & organizing of all merchandise for photography, including apparel & accessories.
  • Work with Senior Stylist & Closet Coordinator to make sure all samples are accounted for & have a record attached to each item as they come into the studio.
  • Shepherd & care for samples throughout the photo process.
  • Collaborate with stylists & styling team to ensure appropriate pieces are pulled into the office & racks are organized for style-outs & photo-shoots.
  • Assist stylists on photoshoots with steaming, dressing models, SKU notes & any on-set assistance.
  • Re-attach all sample tags to merchandise after each shot.
  • Ensure garments are returned with proper documentation & on deadline.
  • Efficient workflow management, organization & communication.
  • Perform daily quality control & address results with the photography team.
  • Oversee the development training materials & guides as needed including thoroughly documenting all processes & procedures
  • Conduct on-going competitive analysis to ensure best in class experience
  • Must be willing to be hands on to solve problems
  • Have the ability to style on fig, Looklet & stills as need be

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years experience as a Stylist Assistant in Fashion e-commerce (high volume experience a plus)
  • On-set skills
  • Knowledge of Fashion sample management.
  • Acute attention to detail, accuracy, & organization.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of computer skills & ability to learn new computer applications.
  • Maintain a highly organized atmosphere in the studio

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA or BFA Degree in design, photography, or related field, or equivalent experience

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds of equipment.
