Lyft is looking for a Litigation Paralegal to join our Legal team. Working & supporting Lyfts in-house litigation team, you will be responsible for conducting investigations, responding to information requests, & helping keep Lyfts legal operations efficient & organized. You should be a self-starter with a positive attitude who takes ownership of projects & works collaboratively with others.


  • Conduct fact investigations & lead document collection efforts related to pre-litigation matters & filed lawsuits
  • Prepare memoranda & summaries of factual research & make recommendations to supervising attorneys
  • Provide legal support to various in-house teams to ensure compliance guidelines & internal policies are met
  • Help define procedures & practices within Legal to promote efficient workflows & handling of legal requests
  • Maintain overall governance of existing processes & strategies
  • Work with in-house counsel to help prepare testimony for legal proceedings
  • Manage day-to-day calendaring of legal deadlines & support legal billing processes
  • Liaise with internal & external counsel & contacts on a day-to-day basis
  • Lead projects & tasks within a broader legal strategy in collaboration with other team members
  • Organize & maintain a variety of legal files
  • Handle diverse special projects for in-house attorneys upon request
  • Additional responsibilities may include responding to civil subpoenas, law enforcement requests, & other legal inquiries, & managing small claims court cases


  • 3+ years of relevant legal experience -- administrative, legal, operations, project management 
  • A JD or Paralegal certificate is not required for this position
  • Strong oral & written communication skills
  • Collaborative, with ability to cultivate cross-functional relationships
  • Exceptionally organized, efficient, detail-oriented, & articulate
  • Ability to receive general direction & run projects independently
  • Proficiency working in a Mac environment, & specifically with Google Apps (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.), Excel, & Word
  • You should be a Lyft user/believer
