With the FlashBlade product, we are building a scale-out all-flash file & object store, designed for the modern world. To really understand how our customers work with data, we are deeply immersed in AI, modern backup, log analytics with Splunk & Elastic, data pipeline with Kafka, cluster computing with Spark, & many more use cases. 

What You Will Be Doing

  • System Testing for the FlashBlade product line
  • Filing & owning related bugs (documenting, debugging, follow-up with Dev teams, reproduce, etc)
  • Own & drive features to completion (review requirements, design docs, customer use cases to build test strategies, test cases, & end-to-end workflows in the System Test ecosystem for new & existing features over multiple releases)
  • Build up & scale out of complex system test beds & test ecosystems using virtualized environments & various test tools
  • Work on Customer Escalations with cross functional teams to help identify root causes & provide assistance with reproductions
  • Be a voice for FlashBlade Systems Quality

What You Bring To The Team

  • Experience in System Testing with ability to create end-to-end test ecosystems from the ground up & maintain it over time.  Understand the nature of a workflow vs a functional test.
  • Knowledge of flash storage, file systems/protocols:  Flash media, Read/Write IOPs, IO datapath, NFS, SMB, S3, & networking layers (full stack QA)
  • Highly skilled in building out & working with Virtualized environments (ESX, KVM, Hyper-V)
  • Ability to deploy & use 3rd party tools like Load Dynamix to simulate IO test workloads
  • Familiarity & hands-on experience with application ecosystems (e.g. netbackup, veeam) & directory services (e.g. ldap, ad) & related OS environments (Windows & Linux)
  • Platform QA - cable/optics qualification against various switch vendors, flash & component qualification
  • Comfortable with linux (ability to script & automate a plus)
  • Team player, excellent communication skills, with strong multi-tasking ability
  • Excellent problem solver
  • 5+ years relevant work experience
  • B.S. in EE or CS or equivalent preferred
