Taboola is looking for a top-notch Fraud Expert. As an Advertiser Fraud Expert at Taboola, your primary responsibility is to lead Taboolas effort to protect its Publishers by creating/improving fraud detection methodologies & uncover potential vulnerabilities & suggest ways to prevent/avoid them. 

You will analyze data, investigate suspicious incidents, & collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop & implement effective fraud prevention strategies. Your role involves monitoring campaigns, identifying fraudulent patterns, & utilizing various tools & technologies to ensure the integrity of Taboola's advertising platform. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the trust of Advertisers & ensuring the quality & accuracy of Taboola's Advertising services.

What are some of the things you do on a day-to-day basis?

• Fraud detection Strategy: you will update or create new fraud detection strategies that will allow early detection of advertiser fraud & addressing of potential blind spots.  Utilize fraud detection tools & techniques to identify potential fraudulent activities, such as cloaking. Investigate suspicious incidents by examining patterns, sources, & user behavior to gather evidence.
• Data Analysis: Lead & perform data analysis on advertising data to identify anomalies, trends, & potential fraudulent activities. This includes analyzing malvertising, cloaking & billing incidents & presenting them along with recommendations for remediation and/or improvement.
• Reporting & Insights: Generate reports & provide insights on fraud incidents, trends, & patterns. Present findings to internal stakeholders, to drive informed decisions & optimize fraud prevention strategies.
• Fraud Prevention Measures: Implement & maintain fraud prevention measures, such as monitoring tools, real-time alerts, & automated systems, to proactively identify & prevent potential fraud incidents.
• Industry Knowledge & Research: Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, fraud techniques, & emerging technologies in the advertising space. Continuously research & explore new fraud detection methods & tools to enhance Taboola's fraud prevention capabilities.

What are the skills a Fraud Expert needs to have?

• 2+ years experience working in the fraud industry in a data-rich environment
• Advanced knowledge & skills in hacking techniques
• Deep understanding of cloaking techniques used in online advertising
• Familiarity with the advertising technology ecosystem
• Ability to analyze large datasets & identify patterns or anomalies
• Sharp thinker, detail oriented, passion to solve complex problems & think outside the box
• Motivated team player but ability to work independently on complex investigations.    
• Strong ethical compass & a commitment to combating fraudulent practices
• Fast learning capabilities & proven ability to multitask - working on several projects at a time 
• Collaborate effectively with others & share information
• Legal & Compliance Awareness
• Adept at thinking outside the box & devising creative solutions to complex problems
• Excellent English, both written & verbal, required to communicate daily with international teams

It would be great if you also have:

• Knowledge of Machine Learning Models, creating, building & maintaining models & ETLs.
• BA/BS in finance, statistics, quantitative economics - a plus
• Previous experience in a fraud detection or related role within the online advertising industry.
• Familiarity with industry-standard fraud prevention tools, such as fraud detection platforms or monitoring systems.
• Previous experience in similar role - a major plus
• Previous experience with Salesforce/Jira - a plus
