What You'll Be Doing ou will work closely with team members to quantify climate & weather risk using Arbol's proprietary risk framework. Additionally, you will be responsible for performing exploratory data analysis on weather & climate data stored on dClimate. The ideal candidate for this role is someone who has a background in Meteorology/Climate Science OR someone who has experience assessing financial risk (specifically: weather-driven commodities). This role requires an intermediate proficiency in Python - familiarity with the Pandas & Numpy libraries is critical. Use Arbol's risk framework (Python) to estimate the uncertainty of weather & climate events Communicate pricing details to members of the pricing team & to other stakeholders within the firmExploratory data analysis of weather & climate datasets
About the Team The Pricing team is responsible for estimating the uncertainty of weather & climate events. You'll be joining a small team of 4 & will have a unique opportunity to join a team that works closely with Arbol's insurance, agriculture, & energy teams. The team also works closely with Arbol's C-suite, including daily discussions with our CEO.
