Whistle is looking for an Insights Analyst at our New York headquarters. This is an exciting entry-level opportunity for someone hungry to translate data/research into actionable content, sales, marketing & business insights.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Synthesize large amounts of data from disparate sources into audience insights, content development ideas & marketing recommendations for internal teams & clients
  • Analyze data from YouTube, Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, Twitter, Shopify & Podcast platforms to develop actionable strategies that increase social media video/post performance & channel growth to drive revenue
  • Oversee full lifecycle of analytics for brand partnership campaigns, including proposal development, measurement setup, in-market optimizations & post-campaign reporting
  • Tell digestible stories to internal stakeholders & clients with data; build polished, scalable, insightful decks/spreadsheets that benchmark performance & emphasize recommendations
  • Evaluate ROI of content & marketing plans
  • Assist in design & execution of proprietary consumer research studies
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, sales, programming, media) to understand, document & address their reporting/analytical needs
  • Manage internal tracking & reporting cadence for critical metrics & KPIs

  • Passionate about sports, entertainment & digital media
  • Always up for lively discussion with teammates, ranging from analytical debate to comic banter

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • 1 year+ experience in a highly analytical role
  • Experience in social media analytics, marketing analytics, audience analytics, consumer insights OR other applicable field at a media publisher/brand or marketing team/agency
  • Avid social media user & digital/social video content consumer; the first of your friends to know about digital trends & emerging platforms
  • Proven ability to integrate multiple data sources & translate them into actionable insights that influence business partners
  • Expert in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets
  • Experience using YouTube Analytics & Facebook Insights preferred
  • Experience using Tableau preferred, but not required
  • Experience with data science / programming languages such as SQL, Python a plus, but not required
