The Data Entry / Order Processing Analyst will own the top of funnel processing & entry for our customer contracts. This involves reviewing & entering sales orders & ensuring contracts are accurately recorded in the accounting system & set up for billing & revenue recognition. This person will also assist the Revenue Manager with various month-end accounting & reporting responsibilities.

This role will be at Appian HQ, which is located in McLean, VA. Expectation is to be in the office on a hybrid schedule. 

To be successful in this role, you need:

  • The ability to read & interpret incoming customer contracts to ensure that they are entered in the NetSuite accounting system in an accurate & timely manner.

  • The ability to maintain spreadsheets used for reconciling services revenue each month.

  • To work well with others, regularly assisting the manager with timesheet follow-up to prepare for billing & revenue recognition deadlines.

  • Strong communication skills to correspond with customers on issues related to purchase orders & invoices.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of general accounting, finance or contract administration experience

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills

  • Bachelors degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance or a related field
