In pursuit of our goal to manage cancer across all stages of the disease, Guardant Health has launched two liquid biopsy-based tests, Guardant360 & GuardantOMNI, for advanced stage cancer patients, & is developing programs for recurrence & early detection, called Project LUNAR. Since its launch in 2014, Guardant360 has been used by more than 5,000 oncologists, over 40 biopharmaceutical companies & all 27 of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network centers.
As the Alliance Manager, you will help establish, execute, & drive towards successful partnerships with external BioPharma companies. You will be the primary point-of-contact between Guardant Health & external BioPharma customers & ensure internal teams are aligned with partner requirements as contracted. You will excel at working cross-functionally with Product, Finance, Bioinformatics, Laboratory Operations, Clinical Development Operations, IT, Automation, & Client Services to deliver on time & quality results.
In this role you will manage retrospective & prospective studies (including companion diagnostic studies), to ensure partner expectations are properly defined, contracted, & managed. You will be expected to lead regular governance & check-in meetings with biopharma partners & present clear & concise business updates. You will also identify strategic opportunities to grow the partnership with key accounts & work with the Business Development team members to realize these business opportunities.
This role will encompass the need to champion internal strategic initiatives to improve processes & efficiency of the service we deliver to the partners.
You bring experiences in relationship management, & development of diagnostics and/or companion diagnostics. You have played a leading role in answering the needs of the clients & managing partnerships.You have been able to manage complex projects, identify conflict, & ensure the cross functional teams arrive at a creative solution in an agreeable manner by all parties. You also have the ability to integrate current procedures & obtain buy-in from all impacted partners.You have an understanding of the clinical development process & application of companion diagnostics for drug development.
- Advanced degree in Biology or Business (MS/PhD or MBA) preferred
- At least 2 years of work experience in partnerships or account management, preferably in the pharma or diagnostics space
- Strong focus on analytical & problem solving, communication & organizational skills
- Level of comfort with statistical concepts & customer management databases (Eg. SalesForce).
- Willing to travel for about 10% of the time
- Experience with companion diagnostics partnership best practices & operating under GCP/GCLP environment preferred
Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies & use office equipment. Majority of the work is performed in a desk/office environment; however, there may be exposure to high noise levels, fumes, & biohazard material in the laboratory environment. Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
