Vimeo is seeking a Cash Application Specialist to join the Enterprise Finance Operations team, a role that will play a vital part in laying the foundation for scaling the business to support the continued growth of the company.

The Cash Application Specialist is responsible for the application of cash payments to the appropriate client invoices for the billing department. Primary responsibilities include posting deposits, reconciling daily input, & resolving all discrepancies & variances related to payments received.  In addition, the Cash Application Specialist provides assistance to Accounts Receivable & Management related to special projects, audits & monthly reporting.

What youll do: 

• Responsible for ensuring all cash is applied daily in a timely & accurate manner to client accounts & invoices for all payment methods (e.g., lockbox, wire, ACH & online payment methods).
• Resolving short payments & disputed items in a timely manner, prepare account reconciliations as assigned.
• Resolve internal & external customer inquiries related to payments received via Zendesk, Salesforce or emails.
• Prioritize work to maintain DSO & meet company delinquency goal metrics/KPIs
• Proactively escalate to management potential uncollectible/bad debt accounts.
• Prepare customer refund requests & adjustments to submit to the manager for approval.
• Assist with sales tax audits & resolve payment issues related to Sales Tax, VAT or GST
• Participate in special projects/audit support & other duties as required or assigned
• Build strong relationships with internal teams e.g. Sales & Billing & Support.

Skills & knowledge you should possess:

• 2-3 years of experience in handling complex accounts receivable duties in an accounting environment.
• General understanding of accounting concepts including monthly procedures.
• Experience with cash application & payment operations 
• Experience working in customer ticketing systems, e.g., Zendesk, Salesforce, Cases, ServiceNow
• Strong organizational & time management skills to prioritize heavy individual workload to meet time sensitive deadlines.
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills; demonstrated professional with personal presence to interface with corporate decision makers.
• Strong numeric ability to accurately post entries accurately
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as part of a team with minimal supervision.
• Results driven & takes initiative.
• Proficient in MS Excel required, MS Word experience
